Achieving Independence to Maximize Success (AIMS):
The Achieving Independence to Maximize Success (AIMS) program is a special education setting for students ages 18-21 who have completed high school credit requirements but will graduate by completing the IEP. The purpose of the AIMS program is to increase access to employment and the community. Through individualized instruction, students gain real-life experiences in simulated and authentic environments to develop skills to support attainment of post-secondary outcomes. Participation in the AIMS program is determined by the student’s IEP team. The AIMS program is offered on one designated campus.
