New water accounts require the presentation of ALL of the following documents before an account can be started:
Valid government issued ID
Valid lease agreement or settlement statement/closing disclosure(DO NOT send a warranty deed)
Payment in advance of $110.00 which is due on or before start date
Application to open a water account can be made at the Saginaw City Hall, 333 W. McLeroy Blvd or by email. Utility service includes water, sewer and garbage pickup are provided by the City. A payment in advance of $110.00 is required for all water accounts. (of the $110.00, $10.00 is a fee and the $100.00 will be applied against a final bill.) NOTE: We are unable to start water services on weekends or holidays.
To start a water account online, you will need to complete the application and service agreement and submit it. It will be directed to the water department. Email the lease agreement or settlement statement/closing disclosure plus a copy of your ID. Email to firstname.lastname@example.org(DO NOT send a warranty deed). Please allow 2 business days to start water service when requesting by email. We will email you the account number and pin to allow you to go online to make the $110.00 payment in advance which must be paid on or before the start date.
