Fire Station Construction Update - September 28, 2021

NEW Saginaw Fire Station - Ground Breaking (June 15)

On June 15, the City of Saginaw hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Central Fire Station & Emergency Operations Center to be located at the corner of McLeroy and Amber. This will be located at the corner of McLeroy and Amber. The new building will meet the needs of the Saginaw Fire Department now and for the next 40+ years. None of this would be possible without the strong support of our community, Mayor Todd Flippo and the City Council, and the hard work of our Citizens Bond Committee. We are thankful for our Saginaw Fire Department, led by Chief Spears and Assistant Chief Craver, and to project manager, Assistant City Manager Dolph Johnson. Thanks and recognition are also in order for design firm BRW Architects and construction manager, Saginaw's own Steele & Freeman Inc. This facility will be a source of pride for the City of Saginaw for decades.
