COVID-19 Response
As our community comes together in an effort to fight the spread of COVID-19 the Saginaw Police Department remains committed to your safety. Our department will continue to provide the citizens with the necessary police services but implement some procedures to increase social distancing.
We recommend that you consider making any police records requests through email or fax rather than in person. Records request can be emailed to: records@saginawpolice.org or faxed to 817-847-5918. If you have any questions regarding our records process you can call our Records Unit during normal business hours at 817-232-0311. Additional resources can be found on our website by accessing www.ci.saginaw.tx.us/104/Police
When requesting police services, our dispatchers will ask additional screening questions in an effort to protect you and our officers from unnecessary exposure to potential health threats. In addition, these calls will be triaged and if the call meets predetermined requirements you may receive a phone call by an officer for non-emergency situations rather than having an officer meet you in person. Again, we are committed to your safety in providing the necessary police services and will still respond to any in progress calls for service that have a risk to life and safety of any persons.
Thank you for supporting us during the implementation of these new procedures with the ultimate goal of increasing safety through social distancing for not only our personnel but for the citizens we serve. For the latest updates related to COVID-19 please follow the City of Saginaw at www.ci.saginaw.tx.us or on Facebook @City of Saginaw, Texas.
Our Saginaw Police Department Citizens Police Academy has been suspended at this time and we will re-evaluate the start date in approximately two weeks. The National Drug Take Back Day in April has been canceled by our Federal partners.
