Angela Hines
John Ed Keeter Public Library

Angela is our Youth Assistant, which means she helps Debbie run all the programs for children and teens, including planning the crafts, reading, singing and dancing at Storytime, visiting schools, connecting with teens, and more. She is the creative genius behind our children’s-area bulletin boards and a lot of our teen art projects. She also brainstorms our science-themed Homeschool Friday Fundays.

She loves any excuse to wear a costume—Halloween, Scarborough Faire, etc. (even Library programs, on occasion!). She was born in Azle, and has spent most of her life within 20 miles of it. She has traveled to Mexico, Germany, Russia and Turkey, and gets a dramatic haircut every 3-4 years and then grows it back out again.

Angela has worked at the Library for 3 years, and loves connecting people with books, and working with kids and teens. She reads science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, contemporary fiction and young adult books, and some of her favorite authors are Diana Wynne Jones, Adam Silvera, Megan Whalen Turner and Shakespeare.
