Friday.
No appointment is necessary;
however, you will
be seen on first come, first serve basis.

only on the second Thursday of each month.

The Municipal Court has original and exclusive
jurisdiction over violations of city ordinances and, within the city limits,
have concurrent jurisdiction with justice of the peace courts over Class C
misdemeanor criminal cases where the punishment, upon conviction, is by fine
only (maximum fine $500). By authorization of the governing body of the city,
ordinances relating to fire safety, zoning, public health, and sanitation are
subject to fine only (maximum fine $2,000). This court does not have
jurisdiction in most civil cases but does have limited civil jurisdiction in
cases that involve owners of dangerous dogs.
The court continually strives to process and administer
all matters in an efficient timely manner, while promoting a high level of
confidence and fairness to the public. An automated phone attendant is available
to request basic information about citations. This system can be accessed by
calling 817-230-0597. A citation number, driver’s license number and date of
birth are required to use the service. This service is currently available in
English and Spanish and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
