The City of Saginaw Animal Shelter has many
wonderful pets available for adoption to loving homes. All
adoptions are first-come, first-served. In addition to
providing and promoting the humane treatment of animals, the
Animal Shelter also protects the public by managing the Saginaw
animal population. The Saginaw Animal Shelter provides
assistance including responding to stray animal complaints,
investigating dangerous animals, investigating animal bites,
impoundments, adoptions, barking dog complaints, trapping
nuisance wildlife, loose livestock, carcass removal, ordinance
enforcement, and many others.The City
of Saginaw requires that all dogs and cats must be registered
with the Animal Shelter and on a leash when outdoors. These
requirements are for the safety and well-being of your pets.
