Animal Services
Most of the animals that come into our shelter
arrive with nothing, except themselves. The Animal Shelter
does what it can to make the animals comfortable so that they
are well taken care of, until their owners claim them or the
animals are put up for adoption.
To directly help the animals by making them a
bit more comfortable in the best possible environment, your help
and donations would be very useful.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Animal Shelter sees thousands of animals
per year and we are always looking for help in finding them good
adoptive homes. Volunteers are an essential part of the
daily activities in our shelter to assist with socializing,
walking, cleaning, and playing with the animals. Citizens must
be age 18 or older in order to volunteer at our shelter.
Our Wish List
The following donations would be very useful in making
an animal's stay at the shelter a bit more comfortable:
- Rolls of paper towels

- Antibacterial hand soap
- Large, black, heavy-duty trash bags
- Dog and cat food
- Dog and cat collars and leashes
- Dog and cat toys (dishwasher safe)
- Cat litter (large granules only, please)
- Small and medium folding wire cages for off-site
adoption events
