Administrative personnel are responsible for
the administrative functions of the City government. The Administrative
Office provides computer-related services for the city such as computer
training, development of system software to suit the needs of various
activities, technical assistance for other departments, prioritizing of computer
needs and time, and maintaining the security files for the city. The City
Council is responsible for making policy decisions, adopting ordinances,
approving major purchases and contractual agreements, adopting the Annual Budget
and making appointments to various positions.

The
City Manager is the Chief
Administrative Officer of the city. Responsibilities of the City
Manager include the general administration of all city Departments,
reviewing and updating all management policies and regulations, and
enforcing the ordinances and laws of the city.

The
Assistant City Manager/Finance
Director is responsible for the financial administration of the
city. This includes recording and reporting financial transactions,
maintaining the permanent accounting records, assisting with the
preparation of the Annual Budget, investing any idle funds, and assisting
the auditors in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report. This
office performs special studies and research requested by the City Manager.
This office also works closely with other city departments, providing
assistance as needed.

The
City Secretary is responsible
for recording and maintaining the City Council agendas and minutes,
ordinances, resolutions, and other official City records.
Responsibilities also include all municipal elections and monthly reports.
The City Secretary is also the Records Management Officer and the
Administrative Assistant to the City Manager.

The
Assistant Finance
Director/Budget Analyst assists in the preparation and presentation of
the City’s operating budget, monitoring department budget expenditures,
assisting departments with budget issues and assisting in preparing
financial reports, as needed. Monitors tax collections and contractual
responsibilities of the County’s appraisal district and interacting with
other City employees and citizens. Assists with capital budgets as needed.

The
Human Resources Director
is responsible for all personnel and payroll-related records; assisting with
new employment applications; administering the employee insurance package,
and handling workers’ compensation claims.

Customer Services are under the direct supervision of the
Office Manager in the General
Administrative Officers. They are responsible for the collection of all
payments at the drive-through window and front counter. Other duties
include garage sale permits, trash complaints and other assignments as
required.
