Citizen Boards, Commissions, and Committees

Beautification Committee - Appointed to enhance the overall appearance of the community.  This committee is responsible for determining how funds received through voluntary beautification donations on the City utility bill is spent.  The Beautification Committee meets quarterly on the first Monday at 6:00pm at City Hall, 333 West McLeroy Blvd. as called.

Capital Improvements Projects (CIP) Advisory Committee - Advise city of the need to update or revise land use assumptions, capital improvements and impact fees.  The CIP Committee meets as called.

Crime Control and Prevention District Board - Recommends and approves annual budget for Crime Control District.  The Crime Board meets as called.

Industrial Revenue Authority - Promotes industry throughout the city.  The Industrial Revenue Board meets as called.

Library Board - Adopts and enforces rules and regulations governing the use of the library and library materials.  The Library Board is responsible for determining how funds received through voluntary library donations on the City utility bill are spent.  The Library Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.  The meetings are held in the Meeting Room at the Library, 355 West McLeroy Boulevard.

Parks Advisory Board - Makes recommendations and suggestions on the use, control, and regulation of the parks and recreation facilities in the city.  They are responsible for determining how the funds, received through voluntary parks donation on the utility bill, are spent.  The Parks Advisory Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:00pm at the Saginaw Senior Center, 405 South Belmont.

Planning & Zoning Commission - Performs preliminary review of all subdivision plats, building plans, and planned unit development.  The Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 333 West McLeroy Boulevard.

Senior Citizens Advisory Board - Provide input to Director on activities and programs offered through the Senior Citizens Center.

Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) - Hears variances to zoning decisions.  The Zoning Board of Adjustments meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 333 West McLeroy Boulevard.
