NAN STANFORD
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Nan Stanford, former City Manager on March 9, 2022. The City of Saginaw Mayor, Council and Staff wish to express our condolences to Nan’s family, and friends.
Nan Stanford began her career with the City on March 22, 1976 when she was hired for the position of Office Manager/Bookkeeper and Secretary to the City Council. Over the years she served the City in various capacities. On September 12, 1999 she was appointed City Manager. During her tenure she served with seven (7) Mayors and forty-four (44) Councilmembers. The population of Saginaw grew from 3,450 in 1976 to 21,320 in 2017. In recognition of her service and many accomplishments, on May 16, 2017 the City Council voted unanimously to honor her by renaming the City Hall the Nan Stanford Administration Building. On July 7, 2017, after 41 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Saginaw, City Manager Nan Stanford retired.

Visitation – Sunday, March 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Biggers Funeral Home, Lake Worth
Service – Monday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church-Saginaw
