Last night, the Kiwanis Club of Saginaw and the City of Saginaw celebrated America's freedom by holding a special recognition for our Veterans on Veteran's Day.
It was standing room only at the Saginaw Senior Center with 150+ people in attendance. Some of the highlights at the event were speeches by Saginaw Mayor Gary Brinkley, Steve Townsend from Tarrant County Commissioner J.D. Johnson's office, a performance by the Ed Willkie Middle School Advanced Boys Choir, the Presentation of Colors by the ROTC from E.M.S. I.S.D., a special guest speakers Benjamin Reed (Staff Sergeant United States Marines) and Joe Glover (United States Army), TAPS performed by James Warden and a special recognition of all veterans present by Kiwanis member Jeff Jenson and Debbie Muelker.
We would like to send a sincere thank you to every veteran for the dedicated service to this country and for defending our precious freedom. Thank you.
