Run the Rails 5k


For More Information

The race begins at the Saginaw Recreation Center, runs through beautiful Willow Creek Park, and then returns to the Recreation Center.  The course is flat and fast with several water stations.  This event is managed by the City of Saginaw and the Saginaw Area Chamber of Commerce.  Run the Rails proudly benefits Community Link Mission of Saginaw and the Eagle Mountain/Saginaw I.S.D. Education Foundation.  Run the Rails 5k is professionally timed by RunTIME Racing Services.

    • $25.00 per runner for the 5k (timed)
    • $20.00 per runner for the 5k (untimed) 
    • $15.00 per runner for teams of 4 or more
    • $12.00 per runner for the 1 mile Fun Run

NEW NEW NEW "Couch to 5k and Beyond" Program

  • Couch to 5K is a nine (9) week program to get newbies up and running in time for the Saginaw Chamber’s Run the Rails 5K on Saturday, June 2nd. No running experience or fitness level required. All you need is a pair of tennis shoes and the desire to have some fun!

  • Top 3 male/female finishers in each age group (1-8; 9-11; 12-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-79; 80+)
    • Custom Designed Medals:  Each year, we partner with the Eagle Mountain/ Saginaw ISD to design our award medals for the runners. The past few years, we’ve worked specifically with the experts (students) at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center. This year, we opened up the medal finalists to our fans on the Run the Rails Facebook page and let them vote on the winner.
